What 5 Shoes Describe You?

So what are the 5 shoes that Define you?  Well for my sister and I we are polar opposites. Her "the need shoes to live" type and I the wear shoes well because you have to! My sister has a shoe paradise at her house. My kids beg to put them on when they visit. She literally craves a good shoe, and when she gets a goodie she has several colors of the same one!  I on the other hand have a couple pairs laying around.  I do however like to buy good quality shoes and wear them to death. They last longer than cheepies and I don't have to think about shoe shopping for awhile.

1.  The Show-Stopper:  Christian Louboutin's Bianca Spikes.  I can't think of anything more glamorous and dreamy than a pair of Red Bottoms, can you?  I must admit, I do own one pair and they are like my treasures.  I like to wear them around the house and just stare at how beautiful they make my feet look....I know, it's totally vapid, but I truly honestly love them!!  If I were to somehow procure another pair, these would be the ones.

Summer is the perfect time for a weekend getaway.  Living in Georgia we are spoiled with awesome places for quick beach trip getaways. Even if you do not live in the South, Amelia Island in Northeast Florida is an amazing place to check out!  So grab your sunscreen and bathing suit and if you have kids grab about a million more things and let's go!

Amelia Island is the southernmost barrier island in a cluster that stretches from South Carolina to Florida. Fernandina Beach is a gorgeous stretch of coast flanked with enormous sand dunes that house the islands native gopher tortoises. Fernandina is an explorers paradise of native rabbits, raccoons, tortoises, blue crabs and with an array of boisterous birds one will never get board of the visual buffet of wildlife.

Ever wonder what's inside someone's Bag?  I do it all the time, I think what you keep in your bag tells quite a bit about you.  

Today, I was doing my usual weekly clean and thought I would share what's inside my bag....

1.  The Bag itself...it's a beauty if I can say so!  It is quite possibly the best summer bag currently available.  It's the Marc by Marc Jacobs "Preppy Nylon Natasha" crossbody bag.  It has the signature logo plaque on the front which I love and tons of storage space because it has zippers everywhere and a cute luggage tag where I keep my business cards!  It is available in a few colors including a light grey which I love but I of course went for the black.  I purchased mine at Nordstrom but it is also available at www.marcjacobs.com

Southern Style Ribs & Bourbon Chocolate Chip Cookies

It's all about the men this Father's Day weekend and what screams man better than ribs & bourbon?  Well, maybe some other words scream man, but for this weekend we will play nice:)

We have tried and failed a couple times grilling ribs at home to no avail. The ribs have been overcooked and leathery or way too spicy, but finally we found the best way to make our Southern Style Ribs. It all starts with 2 slabs of pork baby back ribs. Make more to share, you'll want to!

Your mood can change on scent alone.  I know at least mine does. I, like many, love and need the warming smell of coffee in the morning in order to get in any kind of mood.  A lot of us gravitate toward fresh, clean, floral or ocean scents in the summer and warm, inviting, rich scents in the winter.

Coconut and Honey Hair Cleanser

For a couple of years now I have had a hair problem.....a deep dark secret that rears it's ugly head from time to time, especially noticed when wearing a black top.  It may not be noticeable to everyone but I can feel every last "itch" of it. DRY SCALP! It is not the most attractive topic to approach. I keep thinking of that odd slightly dirty girl in The Breakfast Club who scratched her scalp as "snow" fell from her head onto her desk.

It was an eventful Tulips Apothecary weekend. Not often do two sisters get together who live halfway across the country for some birthday fun. A 5 and 6 year old birthday to be exact.  I think we all drank the Kool-Aid that weekend and we left wanting American Girl Dolls too! No quicker way to blow way too much money!

No our black and white dresses were not planned. This is what happens when great minds think alike.....you end up looking like dorks for pictures.  We so had high hopes for the weekend. We were going to brainstorm ideas for the business, make plans, unveil new products! However, after doll shopping for hours on end, cocktails were needed!
